Terms of Service
Last updated October 3, 2026
These terms govern your use of Table For 2 ("we", "us"), including our website, alerts and booking services. By signing up, placing a deposit or using the service, you agree to them.
1. What we do
We monitor reservation availability at restaurants you choose and alert you when a table opens. We send booking links that open the exact table so you can confirm it in your own name. At restaurants that partner with us, and as auto-booking rolls out to eligible plans, we make reservations on your behalf, in your name. We do not sell, resell or transfer reservations, and we never hold tables under our own name to pass on. Tables offered at partner restaurants are provided under written agreements with those restaurants.
Availability depends entirely on each restaurant. We do not guarantee that a table will open, that an alert will reach you in time, or that a reservation can be made.
2. Eligibility and your information
You must be at least 18 and provide accurate contact details. If you sign up on someone else's behalf (for example, as an executive assistant), you confirm you are authorized to share their details with us and to accept these terms for them.
3. Plans and pricing
- Free trial: 14 days of alerts for one restaurant, card required. Converts to Alerts at $500 per month unless cancelled before the trial ends (see "Free trial and automatic renewal").
- Alerts: $500 per month, up to 5 restaurants. Members whose free trial began before October 3, 2026 keep $250 per month.
- Priority: $750 per month or $7,500 per year, up to 15 restaurants, first alert on every opening, one-tap booking links, and bookings in your name at partner restaurants. Priority billing begins when your watchlist goes live.
- Visitor Pass: $250 for seven consecutive days.
- Partner tables: $500 per booking, or $250 for active Priority members, refunded in full if the restaurant can't seat you.
Memberships renew automatically each month or year until cancelled. You can cancel anytime online with the one-click link in any email we send, or by replying to any email; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Free trial and automatic renewal
The free trial lasts 14 days and requires a card. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your Alerts membership begins automatically and your card is charged $500 per month (or the rate shown when you started your trial), renewing monthly until you cancel. We email you a reminder 3 days before your trial ends. You can cancel anytime, online, using the one-click cancel link included in every email we send, or by replying to any email. Cancelling during the trial means you are never charged; cancelling a paid membership stops future charges, and your membership stays active through the end of the period already paid.
4. Founding deposit and refunds
The $250 founding deposit is fully refundable anytime before your membership begins, and is credited to your first month once it does. Membership fees already charged for a current billing period are non-refundable except where required by law. If a charge was made in error, contact us within 30 days and we will refund it.
5. Bookings made for you
If you turn on booking, you authorize us to reserve tables in your name at restaurants and times matching your watchlist, using the name, email and phone number you gave us. Each reservation is between you and the restaurant, and you agree to follow that restaurant's policies, including dress codes, time limits and cancellation windows. Restaurants may send confirmations and reminders directly to you.
Where a restaurant requires a card to hold a reservation, we may guarantee it with a single-use payment card issued by us. Your own card is never shared with the restaurant.
6. No-shows and late cancellations
If you do not attend a reservation we booked for you, or cancel it inside the restaurant's cancellation window, you agree to pay a fee of $50 per person in the party, charged to the card you saved with us. We charge this fee only when a no-show or late cancellation actually occurs. To cancel in time, cancel directly with the restaurant using its confirmation, or email us as early as possible.
7. Payments and card on file
Payments are processed by Stripe. When you place a deposit or subscribe, you authorize us to store your card with Stripe and charge it for membership fees and any fees described in section 6. We do not store full card numbers on our own systems.
8. Messages
We send alerts and account messages by email. If you provide a phone number, restaurants we book with may text you about your reservation. You can opt out of any marketing messages at any time.
9. Acceptable use
Reservations we make are for you and your guests. You may not sell, trade or transfer them, or use the service to hold tables for resale. We may suspend or end service for misuse, repeated no-shows, or conduct that harms our relationships with restaurants.
10. Third parties
Restaurants and reservation platforms are independent of us. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Resy, OpenTable, SevenRooms, Tock or any restaurant unless we say so. We are not responsible for a restaurant's service, pricing, cancellations or policies.
11. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for missed openings, delayed alerts or restaurant decisions. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim.
12. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms and will note the date above; material changes will be emailed to members. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, and disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in New York County.
